What is measured

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and to see, in aggregate, which pages are read, how visitors arrive (from a search, a link or directly), and their general device, browser, language and approximate location, such as a country or city. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.

What is not done

No advertising features, no Google signals, no ad personalisation and no remarketing. The site has no public accounts, comments or forms, and analytics data is never joined with anything that names you.

Cookies and storage

While analytics is allowed, Google Analytics sets cookies on this site whose names start with _ga, to tell one visit from the next. The site also keeps your theme in a cookie named amir42-theme, and your analytics choice in this browser's local storage. The sign-in cookie of the site's editor is used by the editor alone.

Your choice

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you allow them, and a short notice asks once. Elsewhere they are on unless you turn them off. Your choice applies to this browser, and you can change it here at any time. While analytics is off, no analytics cookie is read or written; Google may still receive a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, without any identifier for your browser.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for at most 14 months and then deletes it; only aggregate reports remain.

Hosting

The site runs on Google Cloud through Firebase App Hosting, which keeps standard server logs for security and operation.
